【Daily Record】 With locals, and everyone from the town hall

Today was a fine day in between the rainy season, and we saw people walking outside with umbrellas to avoid the sun. Everyone in the office stared at the sunny sky. What do you see?

You can see large clouds floating in the sky through the windows. Looking closer, we could see that it was pouring rain. Everyone was surprised at the heavy rain pillars that can be seen from this distance. Each of them took a picture with their iPads and observed it. It was fun just to see everyone's reactions, such as "The right side of the roof of the Linkru looks darker", "The right and left are clearly separated", "I can take pictures quite well, even with an iPad". However, these days, natural disasters are occuring frequently. I would like to be able to pay close attention to weather changes (for example, when lightning strikes, etc.) so that I can protect my own life.

The 3rd grade students went to the riverside to look for baby dragonflies. There are also reeds that are ideal for other insects to hide in, but they couldn't find the all important larvae. Maybe it's a place where there are no dragonflies? However, the 3rd grade students often observe their surroundings before giving up. "There are many earthworms, which will be food for the larvae." "Dragonflies are flying around, so I think there is larvae here!" Although they were unable to find any larvae after their search, the 3rd grade students not only "would not be there" but also "looked carefully at their surroundings". I think that what they have learned is very important.

"Ko-So-A-Do words" that you use every day. But, are you really using them properly? In this class, we started by looking at the secret word cards hidden here and there in the classroom. Teachers who came to see the class also hid them, and every time they found one, they cheered. I know what Ko-So-A-Do words are, but what should we do to actually master them? They exchanged their opinions, saying "I want to write sentences that use Ko-So-A-Do words," and "I want to ask teachers to come up with problems that Ko-So-A-Do words apply to, and fill in the blanks!" As a result, the latter plan was chosen. They were able to learn how to use adverbs based on the sentences given by the teachers.

The rain today made it a little depressing to walk outside. Third grade students are standing outside smiling in the rain. When I got closer to see what they were doing, I found that they were painting with rainwater! The photo on the upper right shows her blowing raindrops and enjoying the unpredictable shape. You can intentionally blow the rain from an umbrella strongly, or stamp with hydrangea leaves to create a pattern. I am truly amazed by the children's use of colours and ideas, as well as their ability to execute them. The most wonderful finished work is on display at the Community Welfare Centre, so please take a look!

At the Resident Welfare Centre, we made Sendai Tanabata decorations with the cooperation of local residents. Created in two groups. We all discussed what colour the bottom parts should be. They were perfect Tanabata decorations created by everyone.

The children responded to the request, "I want to decorate the bamboo stalks with more strips of paper." Currently, they are handing out strips of paper while going around the office and exchanging business cards. Everyone at the office, thank you very much for your warm support during your busy schedule! With the cooperation of everyone in the town hall, the bamboo stalk in the town hall began to bend little by little, carrying a lot of wishes. I would like to proceed with preparations for the bamboo decorations so that everyone's wishes will come true.
