【Daily Record】 Many places to be

It's been 5 days since the second semester started. It's been 5 days since we entered the new school building for the first time.
Everyone has found their own comfortable place and spends their time calmly.
Although our excitement still hasn't subsided, we are gradually getting used to the new environment.
Now, let's explore the school while grinning with excitement.

Their secret base.

The square is surrounded by cone-shaped bookshelves. Several small rooms have been set up using the space under the staircase bookshelf. We can hear the sound of reading aloud coming from the small book rooms. "Umi no dokoka ni chisana sakana no kyodai tachi ga kurashiteta" (Somewhere in the sea, there is a little fish sibling living here). It seems that they are reading "Swimmy'' by Leo Lionni.
The designer and the three of us studying together in a small room look just like the "Swimmies" at the bottom of the ocean.

"Rather than choosing a single classroom, they can choose a learning environment that matches the material.''
Taking full advantage of the new school building's appeal, the second-year students seem to be immersed in the story.
To our eyes, looking at it from outside, it feels like a small aquarium.
So, what kind of adventures await "Swimmy" in Yumenomori?

See! This is my house!

A small aquarium? Let's leave and continue walking around the school building.
The third grade students are having fun in the lunchroom. They picked up discarded cardboard and discussed with others. Looks like they're planning something.
"Look, I'm completely inside. It feels like home.'' They're really excited. We thought, "Oh, it's time for arts and crafts", so we asked her, and she said, "No, I'm going to study math now.''

Yes, don't worry. It's not that they're tired of playing around. The third grade students are checking the development diagram of the shapes. They may be able to understand this by looking in a textbook, such as a developed diagram of a box. However, by cutting the shape from various points, they can better understand the development of the shape.
"I don't really like math..." is a phrase we often hear. In fact, as I write this, I am also very bad at math. However, if you study while moving your hands and cutting and crushing shapes, you might find it surprisingly enjoyable.

They are drawing another world in the box.

Cutting the box and checking the expanded view is not the end. In addition to math, they can also study art. Yumenomori is full of wonderful hideaways. Create your own secret small room inside. This seems to be the plan of the 3rd year students.
Their secret mansion is still under construction: they are still painting, cutting corners, and making the floor.

There are many places to be in Yumenomori. To all the readers who are reading this, please come and visit Yumenomori. We are sure you will find your favourite "place".
