[9th grade social studies]
If you often use the area around Okuma Town Hall, you must have seen it. We collected information on questionnaires that the 9th grade students asked to place at facilities and shops around the office. We received a lot of responses during the month they set it up. Thank you very much to everyone who cooperated in setting up the questionnaire and to everyone who responded.
It seems that the results of the questionnaire obtained were surprising for both of them. The banner photo shows them analysing the results of the questionnaire they received. From now on, we will use the time we have in social studies to give concrete shapes to our "Great Plan to Improve Okuma, even if just a little." We hope you will continue to support us!
[1st and 2nd grade life studies]
Vegetables grown by the second grade students. The tomatoes, which were green last week, have turned bright red with a lot of sunlight! The plants on the side of the staff room are all growing so well that I can't even remember when they were seeds.
On the other hand, the morning glories that the 1st-grade students are growing seem to be a little sluggish. However, when we gave them a lot of water, the slender morning glories turned bright and healthy!
Reaffirming the importance of watering, we decided to change the watering method after discussing it with the first-grade students. We changed the number of time to water during the day, up to twice a day. "Taking care of plants" is not easy. In order for the morning glories and vegetables to grow well, the 1st and 2nd grade students are going to stick to it.
[Tanabata (5th - 9th grade)]
The children decorated bamboo stalks with strips of paper, written by everyone in the town hall! Compared to two weeks ago, it has become a wonderful bamboo that sways with lots of thoughts. I hope the wishes on the strips will come true.
[The pool is open]
Today's lunch break, we opened the pool at the Resident Welfare Centre. We decided on two representatives, each 5th - 9th grade students, and the younger students, and announced our goals for the pool class. Here are the quotes from the 2nd grade and 3rd grade:
From next Monday, swimming lessons will begin in the pool of Tomioka Elementary and Junior High School. We will support all designers so that everyone's goals can be achieved.
[Town Hall Entrance Kanachoro]
In the morning, the figure of a child had his hands wrapped around something important. There was a small Kanachoro inside. It seems that they found it exhausted in a place outside. We cleaned the cases in the classroom and used tissues to create a simple room and spent the day together. Kanachoro often sticks its tongue out. A 5th grade student told me, "This is done so that it knows the temperature, even in the dark!" It seems that they have evolved to be able to detect warm objects even when in the dark, and catch prey. I deeply felt that if this child hadn't caught the kanachoro, I wouldn't have been able to understand what the 5th grade student knows about this topic. The kanachoro kept grabbing the fingertips of the children and swinging its tail around. Some people wanted to keep it, but decided that they couldn't take responsibility and said goodbye to it outside. We hope to see you again someday.
