【Daily Record】 A bookshelf filled with "likes"

There are many bookshelves in Yumenomori! In addition to the library, there are bookshelves lined up in the hallways on the second floor. Of course, there are not only bookshelves, but also many books. There are still noticeable gaps on the bookshelves however. We feel that an empty bookshelf feels a little lonely, like an empty apartment.
"That's right! Let's collect everyone's recommended books and create a bookshelf for each person!'' Everyone decided to create "My Best Bookshelf'', a tradition in Manabiya Yumenomori.
We chose our favourite or recommended books and displayed them on our shelves. Some children and designers displayed their favourite figurines and stuffed animals.
If you look around, it's interesting to see what each person likes.
"Wow. That kid is interested in this kind of thing."
There are lots of new discoveries. When you come to Yumenomori, please take a look at "My Best Bookshelf".

They are reading "Okina Kobu" (The Big Turnip) with roles.

Well, yesterday we introduced the "secret base under the bookshelf" as an "aquarium". We can hear some cheerful voices again today. “Untoko dokkoi dokkoisho!”
Aah. You're playing "the Big Turnip". When we thought about it, they can't seem to sit still, so we immediately went and had a look.
"Now then, it's time to announce the Big Turnip for the first graders.''
It seems like the secret base has quickly turned into a small theatre today. The first-year students themselves even act as hosts and provide explanations to the guests who come to watch. "Now then, please enjoy.''
The story begins with the host's words. When you pull with all your might, you can't help but make your voice louder. The first grade students proudly finished their performance and received a standing ovation from the third grade students.
The first year student's faces were bright red and they were smiling.

We don't care if we get burnt.

Let's go outside from the secret base.
Two girls are playing with the playground equipment, braving the strong sunlight.
During the first semester, there were no swings or horizontal bars in Yumenomori. But now we have some nice play equipment installed in the schoolyard.
Today's temperature is over 35 degrees. We get tired when we go outside, even for a short while, but the temperature doesn't seem to matter to them. They jump outside with just a hat on. There may be a "magical power'' lurking in the Yumenomori schoolyard that attracts these girls. However, while these girls have the energy to reflect UV rays, the designers they work with however, the sunlight is their natural enemy. We're scared of the sunlight pouring down on us.
This contrast makes us smile.

A big adventure of finding shapes.

This is an activity for 2nd and 3rd grade students.
They are learning about shapes. Shapes with many corners, shapes without corners, long shapes, and pointed shapes. Of course, the world is full of shapes. Today, they will start on a journey to consciously look for "shapes" from the scenery they have been casually looking at.
With a tablet in hand, they took pictures of the shapes they discovered.
During the journey, a school sofa catches their eyes.
"Hey, if we combine this and this, wouldn't it be possible to create a new shape?'' A
child's idea led to the beginning of a big sofa moving operation. What's with the heavy sofa? To create new shapes, they worked together to move the sofa.
"Hey! We made a big circle!"
"Hey, what's the name of this shape we made?"
"It's called a hexagon."
"Hmm. We made a big hexagon!”
The child asks a teacher for the name of the shape and speaks proudly. This was the moment when the word "hexagon" was certainly etched in her vocabulary.

They put effort into cleaning up too!

This is what the 5th grader students do.
When they get tired of studying, they take a break in their favourite chairs.

The science room is filled with treasure!

The 5th grader students are each unique and go at their own paces. Everyone has their own way of taking a break.
But they're good friends, so they always end up getting together regardless.
Even though they all have different passions and tastes, they stick together, and end up in the same place.
We can't help but think of this as an ideal relationship, comparing it to our own.

They end up in the same places.
Yumenomori's milk server is very busy!

A popular person in Yumenomori.
He is Mr. "My Own Pace". When you spend time with him, you find yourself drawn into his pace. He's a guy who often takes it easy, but he's also a man who does things when he has to. He is entrusted with serving milk for all the Yumenomori members, and is very busy preparing school lunches. Still, he fulfills his duties for everyone every day, and is definitely one of the heroes of Yumenomori. Thank you as always.

Everyone has different personalities, but it feels good to spend time together. This day in Yumenomori is drawing to a close.
