【Report for May 31st】Let's go to Tomioka Elementary and Junior High!
Today, we all got on a bus and went to Tomioka Elementary and Junior High school, in Tomioka, which is near us in Okuma. We played English games on the bus. "What is this?" a guessing game involving holding a picture while someone guesses, with hints from the others. "This is red!" "This is a fruit!" "This is sweet!", with the answer being "Apple!" It was difficult, but very fun.
As you may be aware, the new school building for Yumenomori has not yet been completed. We currently rent rooms from the Town Hall in Okuma, and use these to study every day. So unfortunately, we don't have a kitchen. But we like to challenge ourselves! Tomioka Elementary school heard about this, and offered us to use their school. Thank you so much to everyone at Tomioka Elementary school.
5th grade made some heated vegetables, and 6th grade made stir-fried vegetables with scrambled eggs. Although they were nervous about using an unfamiliar knife, they were able to use it well. Oh my goodness!!
The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students borrowed a large classroom and carried out expressive activities.
Today is the continuation of the gestures game. This time, we have six people expressing one thing. They talked and worked together to make a big plane, and three people made an octopus… It didn't go very well, but that's okay! It is important for everyone to think and come up with ideas in order to express themselves well. Sometimes we get into fights, but that's proof of how hard we work. You really did your best!
During break time, we played dodgeball with everyone from Tomioka Elementary in the gym.
Team Tomioka is really strong! But next time we won't lose!
Let's play together again. Thank you very much for today.
