[A daily Record] New Sports Exchange Meeting
As the name suggests, new sports are "new sports."
We enjoyed new sports that anyone can enjoy regardless of age or gender with the local people.
We held a new sports exchange event at Linkru in the Okuma Exchange Zone, and the children of Yumenomori were looking forward to it♪We experienced "Boccia" and "Quoits" at the arena.Quoits is an old game, but what is Boccia?
About Boccia
You compete to see who can get the closest to a white ball called the jack ball (target ball) by throwing, rolling, or hitting other balls.
Boccia originated in Europe and is an official "Paralympic" event.
Boccia, which originated in Europe, is a sport invented for people with severe cerebral palsy or similar severe limb functional disabilities, and is an official Paralympic event.
Japan Boccia Association
The boccia experience, split into red and blue teams, was a blast!
We got a glimpse of their talent for throwing the ball where they aimed.
Some teams said, "Put the white ball close to our base, and try to predict the opponent's first ball..." and called out to each other, "Aim for there!" and "Aim for the back!" to give themselves an advantage.
The quoits looked like they were going in, but they didn't!
"That was close!" "Six points next time!" "It's hard to control the strength..."
They had fun calling out to each other within the team.
