[A daily Record] Learning with Minecraft
We look forward to the second half of the program! Programming with a future design!
The educational version of Minecraft is a little different from the Switch and smartphone versions, and you can learn the basics of programming. Children have experience with Minecraft, whether they have played it on the Switch or on their smartphones.
The Minecraft Cup Secretariat, which is holding its 6th event this year, came to give a lecture.
Simply put, Minecraft is a digital version of Lego blocks.
Lego blocks are inside your computer.
You manipulate the blocks to create the shapes in your mind on the screen.
It's a lot of work to stack the blocks one by one, but...
That's where programming comes in!
For example, if you program it so that blocks come out just by pressing the up button, you can easily and quickly get the blocks out.
Programming is necessary to build buildings efficiently in a short amount of time.
You can also place animals and flowers, and express the shapes you imagine in your head.
"I want to make something digital and connect it to the real world."
"I want you to see society through Minecraft."
The staff told the children how to use Minecraft.
When you want playground equipment. Make a playground with Minecraft and put the equipment in it.
Make a gymnasium with Minecraft and make an evacuation shelter. Think about what you can do to make it comfortable in the event of a disaster.
Minecraft can be used in many ways, such as presenting what you have thought up and created, or using it widely as part of disaster prevention education.
What if Minecraft was used for a future design exploration theme...?
The session ended with a discussion of ideas♪
The exploration continues during the summer holidays. It would be great if this educational version of Minecraft could be used.
