A new step forward...

In addition to the day-to-day, creative childcare practices of childcare teachers...
The third installment in our program that utilizes the expertise of compulsory education schools in childcare!

It's time for physical play, led by designer leader Takuya Kusano.

"Playing Ninja"Running lightly across the water, hiding...By acting like a ninja in this way, you can create sharp movements!

Compared to the 1970s and 1980s, when our parents were children, today's children's average scores in events such as the 50m sprint, standing long jump, and softball throw are much lower...
The big three in muscle training are squats, bench presses, and deadlifts.
The average scores for the most basic movements, which could be considered the big three of running, jumping, and throwing, are low...
The reason for this is the change in the environment surrounding children...
The sudden decrease in the three "spaces": "friends" to play with, "free time," and "physical space" where it is not a hindrance to run around...

Here are some of the signs I have found in a certain park...
"Please refrain from playing with balls, which is a nuisance to those around you!"
"Please refrain from shouting so as not to disturb the neighbors."
"Please do not climb trees in the park."
"Please do not run up the slide."
"Do not play on the grass!"
"Bringing in playground equipment is prohibited."
What on earth should I do?
Should I just go to the park and sit on a bench? Parks were my favorite place...

If that's the case, then the gardens at Yume no Mori are the flip side of all of this!

To prevent awkwardness in learning and movement after school...
To increase the movement experience of pre-golden age toddlers...
Yume no Mori is serious about this!

Don't let go of the hands... The ring is so small...Hand it over to the person next to you...? That's impossible!!

Body muscles and back muscles balance... Using everything they have, they somehow succeeded in connecting!!This play leads to many "movements"

It is even said that about 80% of motor skills are determined at the age of 5-6...
In other words, it is a very important period to acquire the foundation for the "wide variety of movements" that will be necessary throughout their lives...

Indeed... It was around that time that they learned to ride a bicycle. Even if you haven't ridden it for decades, you can still ride it...
It's firmly ingrained in the nervous system of a 5-year-old...
By the age of 12, almost 100% of the neural circuits are formed!

This is a huge challenge!

Rather than blaming the times...
I think it's a challenge that we adults can overcome with our ingenuity...
It's not about gifted education, where we make children take up one sport from an early age...
We want to nurture children who enjoy moving their bodies and who will move their bodies of their own accord...
Above all, it's to acquire and improve the quality of "a wide variety of movements" so that they can live a lively and rich life for many years to come...

It's not because I'm a "physical education person"!
It's precisely because of this era...
We must not neglect or neglect "physical education"!
It's the very foundation of the foundation of the ability to live...

I put these thoughts into a tanzaku...

"Improve your physical sensitivity, listen to your body's voice, and become someone who can face your own body!"
God, please help me!

It's on display! With the wishes of the children and their families...Tanabata is almost here!
The wishes would not have been fulfilled without this person! The Bamboo Cutter, also known as Matsunaga Hideatsu, a member of the Yumenomori School Board...He delivered it in a bright red light truck♪ driving through the greenery! Thank you so much...
