【Daily Record】 With 120% Power
We all practiced acting together today… However, today they will be sitting in the audience, rather than their assigned roles. In their place, the designers of Yumenomori will be taking their places. What on earth does that mean?
Today's theatre class starts from the perspective of the audience. Although we are steadily rehearsing for the play, it seems like there are some areas where the image isn't quite right. If it were true, it would be ideal if we could just explain things verbally for now and proceed with the play in a way that the children can imagine, but there are still many things that they don't understand.
This time, the designers specially decided to perform "120% theatre" so that the children could experience the full power of theatre.
The 9th grade students grabbed their scripts and pens, and took notes about what they noticed. The lines in the play bring out a side of the designer that they've never seen before. The children watched the play with happy faces, but sometimes they showed surprised faces as well.
Originally, the children were supposed to be watching, but in the second half of the play, some of the children suddenly became involved in the performance. It was a wonderful performance full of energy that made you want to be a part of its world.
After the designer's performance, there was another performance by the children. The children's acting seemed to have improved as they witnessed the designer's 120% performance. There were some children who felt like they were able to show their true potential, and we felt that this is what we mean when we say they have a positive influence. After practice, ALT Ben praised the students' performance, and the students seemed very happy to receive the praise.
As detailed in the article by the Kodomoen, "Yosakoi Soran" practice is currently underway at Yumenomori. Today, they watched a video of the handover ceremony from 16 years ago, which they borrowed from a staff member, and were able to see how much "Yosakoi Soran" has been passed down. With the help of the graduates, we decided on the parts that would be included as a whole, and it became more and more complete. We will continue to practice hard in preparation for the day when we can show it to the local community.
A cute green headband. The green shirts lined up in the back were handmade by the children. Please wait for the day when we can show this to everyone.
