When I went to work this morning, the parking lot, and the entrance were full of dragonflies resting their wings. It's like an international airport.

Did the relatively dry rainy season cause the temperature of the waterside to rise and encourage them to emerge? We don't know why so many dragonflies are here. That made us a little bit worried. Dragonflies eat other insects, especially the bad ones, which can be bad for people. But honestly, there are too many, so this is worrysome. However, the children enjoy catching them, they even land on their clothes, and don't need a net.

The "Eye" of the dragonfly

 As you all may know, they have more than 10,000 "ommatidia" (Eyes). But they don't get the same projected image we do, thats because their "eyes" are different in how they look. The information each dragonfly sees is collected in the brain to form a single image. They have what is called a "compound eye," and their field of view is almost 360 degrees, and can see everything going on around them, and move quickly in response. They also have amazing skill in determining colour, that also helps them be excellent fliers, who can fly anywhere.
