【Kodomoen】 Flexible Thinking

At the nursery school visit last week, the children made Tanabata decorations with their parents. Today, as a student entered the kindergarten, she looked at the decorated bamboo…

"I wonder if it's a little small… my wish might not come true!"

Saying that, this time she decided to make Tanabata decorations by herself…

After that, we decorated the strips of paper and wrote down our wishes, and the wishes of our families…
Preparations for the Tanabata festival have been perfected!!

I looked at the bamboo decorated with Tanabata decorations. It reminded me of life at home where I was plagued by bamboo shoots growing in my garden. If left for too long, its roots spread and are strong enough to break the floor, and it will steadily grow straight towards the sky. It stands still without falling over, even in strong wind. It is very "strong" and "flexible".

This is how the children of Yumenomori, and the schoolhouse, should be…
I want to nurture the traits "strong" and "flexible", to be like bamboo…

But thats okay! Move your bodies and play till your heart's content. We can feel the foundation of a "strong body" and "flexible thinking" from their daily lives.

Strong body and flexible thinking…?
There is a verse that comes to mind!

Manabiya Yumenomori is full of unique designers. Every designer has a diverse point of view, and a good sense of humour. In Yumenomori (a compulsory education school), there is a designer with a lot of muscles. As we passed each other, I involuntarily blurt out "Huge!" It is said that he trains with a barbell that weighs as much as a sumo wrestler, who is by no means a small soldier. I'm not as good as him, but I'm also a trainee. To put it simply, "Muscle training" is one of my hobbies now.

First of all, if the muscles get used to the same stimulus, the training effect will decrease. This is because, in order to protect yourself, your muscles prepare themselves for more crisis (stimulus) than they have ever experienced, and react less to the crisis they experience. In other words, in order to create a new crisis, it is necessary to train with different stimuli using various methods. He always handles life-threatening weights and repeats lifting them, pushing himself to the limit for one more Rep. Of course, there are bound to be times when it falls. In this way, we are aiming for a weight that can only be lifted by less than 1% of the human population. Also, sometimes he uses light weights and uses the full motion of his joints, and repeat stretching and contracting. This is another 1 Rep from the limit!

Instead of worrying about tearing your muscle fibers with a "bachin!", we keep giving it 100% of our power.

By the way, this unhealthy repetition of work…
Why does he do this…?

This is where the essence of muscle training lies…

Everything is to overcome the weak self who says "I can't do it anymore…" "I can't do it anymore…"
And surpass the myself from yesterday!

In this way, the repetition of the work of constantly trying to upgrade "to surpass yesterday's me" is probably what makes up his huge "muscles" and that supple "thought" as a designer…
And both are still "growing" and "evolving"…
